About us

Seen Studios is a B Corp certified creative agency that designs brand environments with purpose, collaborating with some of the industry’s leading global brands. We create authentic retail spaces and activations using cutting edge materials, innovative digital platforms and efficient build methods. Creativity, consumer insights and sustainability are at our core.

The role

The HRBP is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR across Seen Studios. You will work closely with the Director of Operations and management team, supported by our HR system and a Fractional HR Director.

We are looking for someone who can provide hands‑on delivery while building strong relationships with managers and teams. The role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to development, performance and employee relations. This is a key role within a growing business, suited to someone who is comfortable operating at pace, managing multiple priorities, and delivering a consistent, high-quality HR service. You will play a central role in ensuring people processes are implemented and maintained.

This is a standalone HR role, and you should be comfortable taking ownership of everyday HR matters while having the judgement to recognise when specialist or senior HR advice is required.

Key responsibilities
Employee Relations & Advisory
  • Be the first point of contact for managers and employees on ER matters. Including performance management, absence, probation, flexible working and other employee matters.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers across the agency, coaching them on effective people management.

  • Manage routine employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes.

  • Identify higher‑risk matters and escape them to the Director of Operations and Fractional HR Director as necessary.

  • Produce regular people reporting and analysis for the Director of Operations.

  • Ensure a fair and consistent approach across the agency.

Talent Acquisition & Integration
  • Support managers with recruitment, including management of Team Tailor and regular checks on progress.

  • Create and maintain effective hiring processes. Including training managers to interview and select people effectively. Support role design, job descriptions, interviews and offers.

  • Own and maintain a scalable, efficient onboarding framework, including updating the handbook and ways of working.

  • Ensure new joiners have an effective induction and probation process.

  • Work with managers to help new employees become productive and integrated quickly.

Team Development
  • Help to maintain the team culture as the business grows.

  • Organise and implement agency-wide learning and development programmes alongside Director of Operations and Heads of depts.

  • Work with Heads of depts on their specialist training requirements.

  • Support the delivery of the performance review cycle, including appraisals and progress checks.

  • Support on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), ensuring structure, clarity and documentation.

  • Drive accountability and clarity around performance standards across the business.

  • Support and coach managers to have effective, constructive conversations around performance and development.

  • Support career development, progression and succession planning.

  • Own the delivery of key people initiatives across the agency.

  • Act as a visible and approachable presence across the business.

Operations & Compliance
  • Own the day-to-day operation of CharlieHR (or equivalent) and our HR technology.

  • Deliver HR administration across the employee lifecycle (payroll, contracts, onboarding, changes, leavers).

  • Ensure all employee records, HR systems and documentation are up to date and compliant.

  • Maintain and continuously improve HR policies in line with UK legislation and business needs.

  • Provide clear, pragmatic guidance aligned to UK employment law and ACAS best practice.

About you

You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years’ HR experience. CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager or similar, ideally within a creative agency.

  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

  • Experience managing employee relations matters, confident handling cases end-to-end.

  • Strong coaching and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience working with senior managers.

  • A practical, commercial and people-focused approach.

  • Comfortable working at pace within a fast-moving, evolving agency environment.

  • Able to operate independently with sound judgement, knowing when to upscale and when to take ownership.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work without relying on close oversight.

  • Proactive, solutions-focused, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.

The Interview Process:

1. If you are shortlisted, we will invite you to join a 30 minute virtual call for us to get to know you better and for us to tell you more about the role and agency, and answer any initial questions.

2. If we think you'd be a great fit, we will then invite you into the office, to meet the team IRL which we wouldn't expect to take more than one hour.

A final decision will be made following this.

Benefits
  • Salary reflective of your experience and in line with internal benchmarks

  • Hybrid working, working from our Shoreditch HQ on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from home on Mondays and Fridays.

  • Core Hours of 10:00 - 17:00 with the flexibility to start anytime between 08:00 - 10:00 and finish between 17:00 - 19:00.
