Job summary

Abbott is seeking an HR Business Partner based at the Dundee site to partner with multiple internal client groups across a manufacturing environment. You will drive people strategies that enhance employee relations, performance, talent management, engagement, and compliance.

You will work with leaders to deliver HR interventions, manage the full employee lifecycle, and ensure positive employee experiences while complying with UK law and corporate policies.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • HR acumen including talent management, performance management, organisational design, development, employee relations, and compensation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with managers across multiple departments and support business.
  • Provide expert HR advice aligned to business goals and divisional/corporate objectives.
  • Recommend and implement HR interventions that support business strategy and organisational effectiveness.
  • Oversee all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation & benefits, development, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Coach and support line managers in managing people topics effectively and consistently.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and other HR functions to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
  • Identify training and development needs and support the implementation of learning and development initiatives in partnership with the Learning & Development and Talent teams.
  • Promote internal mobility and career development opportunities through the management of career pathways.
  • Support initiatives that enhance employee development and organisational capability.
  • Partner with business leaders to support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and cultural transformation programmes.
  • Lead or contribute to UK and regional HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyse data to support business cases and proposed organisational changes.
  • Analyse HR metrics and people data to inform decision-making and identify key workforce trends.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support compliance with internal policies and procedures.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an HR Business Partner based in our Dundee site to join our Business Human Resources department.

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP) in a dynamic manufacturing environment, you will act as a strategic partner to multiple internal client groups, supporting the full employee lifecycle. You will work closely with leaders across all levels to drive people strategies that enhance employee relations, performance, talent management, employee engagement, and compliance across the organisation.

What You’ll Do
Business Partnering:
  • Build strong relationships with managers across multiple departments and support business.
  • Provide expert HR advice aligned to business goals and divisional/corporate objectives.
  • Recommend and implement HR interventions that support business strategy and organisational effectiveness.
  • Share data, insights, and information to support decision-making and problem-solving.
Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation & benefits, development, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Support workforce planning, talent management review, and succession planning strategies.
  • Ensure a positive and consistent employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Employee Relations
  • Manage complex employee relations cases ensuring compliance with UK employment law and company policies.
  • Coach and support line managers in managing people topics effectively and consistently.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and other HR functions to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
Talent & Development
