TKMS ATLAS UK is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to influence leaders, develop people strategies and support change within a growing technology and engineering business. Based at Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith Newburgh, Dorchester, the role reports to the Head of HR.

You’ll partner with senior leaders across the organisation, providing commercially focused HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, blending strategic partnering with hands-on operation to build high-performing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR Business Partnering experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
• Experience guiding organisational change, workforce planning and talent development.
• Proven ability to coach leaders and manage multiple projects autonomously.

HR Business Partner

The opportunity

We’re looking for an HR Business Partner to join the HR team at TKMS ATLAS UK, reporting directly to the Head of HR. This is a permanent role based at Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith Newburgh, Dorchester.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and managers across the business, providing commercially focused and people-centred HR advice across the full employee lifecycle. The role combines strategic HR business partnering with hands-on operational support, helping leaders build high-performing teams and create a positive, inclusive working environment.

As part of their continued growth, you’ll play an important role in supporting organisational change, workforce planning, talent development and employee engagement, while ensuring our people practices remain effective, compliant and aligned with our wider business strategy.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and leaders across the organisation, providing practical advice, coaching and constructive challenge. You’ll help translate business priorities into effective people plans and lead HR initiatives that support both their people and our wider organisational objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic and operational HR advice to managers and senior leaders.
• Managing and advising on complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Supporting organisational change, transformation, restructuring and workforce planning activities.
• Advising on talent management, performance, learning and development and succession planning.
• Coaching and developing managers to build their confidence and capability in people management.
• Supporting employee engagement, culture and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
• Leading and contributing to HR projects, process improvements and digital HR initiatives.
• Using people data and analysis to identify trends, solve problems and support informed decision‑making.
• Supporting occupational health, wellbeing, governance, compliance and social value initiatives.
• Building strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with practical, hands‑on HR support. You’ll be confident working with stakeholders at different levels and able to provide clear advice on complex people matters.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong experience working in an HR Business Partnering role.
• Sound knowledge of employee relations and UK employment legislation.
• Experience supporting organisational change, transformation and workforce planning.
• Experience across talent management, organisational development and employee engagement.
• Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage complex HR cases, competing priorities and multiple projects autonomously.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR qualification/experience.

Experience within engineering, science, technology, manufacturing or defence would be beneficial, as would experience working in a regulated environment. Knowledge of TUPE, organisational restructuring, HR systems or digital HR solutions would also be advantageous.
