At Stirling Council, our People services are key in supporting our organisation and our people in overcoming the challenges we face. Our key priorities include driving forward best practice in policy and processes; delivering fully on our commitment to the Scottish Fair Work framework; and developing and embedding innovative and forward-thinking practice, all to effectively support the vital work we do for Stirling’s communities.
As HR Business Lead, you will provide strategic leadership to the HR Business Partnering function aimed at delivering an HR Business Partner service in accordance with the Council’s strategic objectives, goals, and values, in a manner which provides best value. This is a key role that will lead on allocated projects relating to matters impacting our workforce. With responsibility for the development and co-ordination of programmes of work which review what we do, maximise opportunities, build organisational capacity and support business transformation. You will lead a team of professional officers, ensuring Council services are supported with specialist HR policy, process and advice which addresses business challenges and maximises opportunities relating to the people function.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional with comprehensive knowledge of employment law and its practical applications, as well as Chartered membership of CIPD. You will have extensive experience in leading an HR team and leading workforce initiatives which have an organisational impact. You will have demonstratable communication and consultation skills, with the ability to communicate and build relationships with senior managers, trade unions, services and colleagues.
