Job summary

Dawn Meats is seeking a motivated HR trainee to join our team in the West Country, reporting to the Regional HR Manager. The role offers full training, mentoring and no prior HR experience is required but desirable, with standard hours 8:30-17:00, Monday to Friday.

Based between two sites about 30 minutes apart, the position requires regular travel and supports delivery of HR policies, recruitment, payroll and data reporting while maintaining high integrity and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• No prior HR experience required but desirable.

• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of all people policies and processes.

• Assist with recruitment including interviews and onboarding.
• Support payroll through document provision and checks.
• Record HR data and report KPIs using internal systems.
• Interact on-site with a diverse workforce to boost engagement.
• Assist in site absence management and notes in formal meetings.
