Exciting 12-Month Opportunity - HR Assistant (Parental Leave Cover)

Location: Leatherhead Office | HR Shared Services Team

We have a fantastic 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an experienced HR Assistant to join the Wates Group, covering parental leave. This role is within our HR Shared Services Team, based at our Leatherhead office.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is customer-focused, highly organized, and eager to build on their HR experience in a supportive environment. You should have strong administrative skills—preferably from an HR setting—and be confident in using MS Office tools. Discretion and confidentiality are essential, along with a professional and proactive approach.

We are seeking someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ideally, someone studying towards or holding a CIPD or similar qualification.

As HR Assistant, you will:

  • Provide end-to-end support across the employee lifecycle in a timely and customer-centric manner
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of employee data across HR systems
  • Support the HR team with project work and operational delivery
  • Operate with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
