Job summary

The LTE Group is seeking a HR Advisor on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. The role is full-time (37 hours) with hybrid working from Openshaw campus in Manchester.

You will advise on HR policy, support managers, and ensure employment law compliance while delivering pragmatic solutions to operational needs. You will also support HR teams with meetings, policy updates, TUPE activity, change projects, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR advisory role, ideally in a unionised environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and ACAS best practice.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Advise on HR policy and procedure; support managers with options and risks.
• Attend HR meetings; take notes; produce letters and reports on absence and performance.
• Assist HR Shared Services with escalated policy queries.
• Support HR Partners with change projects, restructures and TUPE.
• Review and update HR policies; ensure legislative alignment.
• Proactively manage sickness absence; provide updates and raise risks.
• Track data; maintain case management system and reports for meetings.
• Coach managers; deliver people management training as needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service; act as HR ambassador across the business.
