Job summary

MCR Property Group is looking for an HR Advisor to join the Ardwick team. You will be the first point of contact for managers and staff on day-to-day HR queries, providing practical guidance on policies, contracts and employment procedures.

You will support employee relations casework, onboarding and offboarding, and assist with recruitment and payroll processes. Maintain accurate records, run HR reports, and stay up to date with current UK employment law and best practice.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Advisor or HR Officer.
• CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification or working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling straightforward employee relations cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
• Discreet, professional approach to confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on day-to-day HR queries across the group.
• Provide clear, practical advice on policies, contracts and employment procedures.
• Support employee relations casework, including absence, disciplinary and grievance matters, and take accurate notes at meetings.
• Support the recruitment and payroll team with all aspects of the onboarding process.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth experience for new starters and leavers.
• Remain up to date with all employment legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and keep the HR system up to date.
• Prepare HR reports on headcount, absence and turnover for managers.
• Support probation reviews, performance processes and annual HR cycles.
• Help promote employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement across the team.
• Support organisational change, restructures and TUPE processes.
