Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to support Carlisle site operations with occasional travel to Newcastle. The role is six months with a view to extension, offering a £35k per annum rate on a fixed-term contract.

You will provide day-to-day HR advice, assist with employee relations, and drive HR admin excellence across the business. The ideal candidate will have CIPD Level 3, strong ER experience, and the ability to manage HR documentation and records to a high standard.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 qualification (minimum) is required.
• Significant experience in a generalist HR Advisor or HR Officer role.
• Strong employee relations experience, including absence management and disciplinary processes.
• Experience drafting HR documentation and formal correspondence.
• Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
• Proficient with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR matters.
• Support and manage employee relations activities, including absence management cases and disciplinary investigations.
• Draft invitation letters, outcome letters, and take minutes at formal meetings.
• Assist managers with attendance management processes and wellbeing initiatives.
• Respond to general HR queries relating to policies, procedures, pay queries, workwear, and time & attendance systems.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data in compliance with procedures and legislation.
• Lead the organisation and improvement of the site's HR archive system and filing process.
• Review, update, and maintain HR policies and documentation as required.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
• Produce HR reports and data analyses to support business needs.
