Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit an HR Advisor on-site in Derby. You will join a 39-hour week, finish at 12:00pm on Fridays, and deliver day-to-day HR support with a focus on employee relations and coaching managers.

This 14-month FTC role suits an experienced HR generalist who can drive best practice, engage with managers across the business, and help shape a high-performing workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Broad generalist HR Advisor experience.
• Strong employee relations experience with complex casework.
• Ability to coach, influence and challenge managers at all levels.
• Experience supporting recruitment and talent attraction activities.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for managers, providing coaching and guidance on people matters.
• Managing and advising on employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance issues and investigations.
• Supporting managers in developing their people management capability and ensuring a consistent approach across the business.
• Providing advice on employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.
• Leading and supporting recruitment activities, from sourcing and selection through to onboarding, whilst identifying opportunities to improve attraction strategies and reduce recruitment costs.
• Working alongside the Site Operations Director and People Director to support operational and tactical HR initiatives.
• Managing and developing the HR Coordinator, ensuring a high-quality HR service is delivered across the business.
• Supporting workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
• Promoting company values and fostering a positive and inclusive culture throughout the organisation.
