Job summary

Ashley Kate is delighted to partner with a well-established manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced HR Advisor. Based on site in Derby, this 14-month FTC role offers a 39-hour week with a Friday finish at 12:00.

The HR Advisor will deliver day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, focusing on employee relations, coaching managers, and providing practical people advice. The role reports to senior leadership within a high-regulation sector.

Qualifications

• Broad generalist HR advisory experience across the employee lifecycle.
• Strong employee relations experience with complex cases.
• Ability to coach and influence managers at all levels.
• Experience supporting recruitment and talent attraction.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for managers, providing coaching and guidance on a wide range of people matters.
• Managing and advising on employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance issues and investigations.
• Supporting managers in developing their people management capability and ensuring a consistent approach across the business.
• Leading and supporting recruitment activities, from sourcing and selection through to onboarding, whilst identifying opportunities to improve attraction strategies and reduce recruitment costs.
• Working alongside the Site Operations Director and People Director to support operational and tactical HR initiatives.
• Managing and developing the HR Coordinator, ensuring a high-quality HR service is delivered across the business.
• Supporting workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
• Promoting company values and fostering a positive and inclusive culture throughout the organisation.
