Job summary

Meriden Media is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to deliver a professional, responsive HR service across the business. The role focuses on employee relations, employment law, HR administration and coaching managers.

The successful candidate will handle a varied HR caseload, provide first-line advice, support disciplinary and absence matters, and help manage change, TUPE and compliance while maintaining accurate records across HR systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' generalist HR experience or strong HR admin background.
• Experience advising managers and employees on HR issues.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Confident handling sensitive information and casework.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR advice to managers and staff.
• Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary and absence matters.
• Advise on family-friendly leave, flexible working and legislation.
• Support meetings, investigations and HR documentation.
• Coach line managers to handle people issues effectively.
• Maintain confidential records and HR systems and support reporting.
