Job summary

Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd in Maldon, Essex, is seeking an HR Advisor to join a friendly, customer-focused HR team. You will deliver an excellent service to Directors, Managers and employees across daily operations and advise the business on employee matters under current employment law.

The role is office-based in Maldon with travel to branches, supporting recruitment, employee relations and HR policies. CIPD level 5 qualified or studying towards, and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or currently studying towards.
• Experience advising on a wide range of HR and employee relations matters.
• Good knowledge of employment law and HR policies with practical application.
• Strong Excel skills; able to maintain spreadsheets, analyse data and produce clear reports.
• Confident using HR systems, email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting and leading employee meetings on disciplinary, grievance and welfare matters.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in letters, records and data input.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage a varied workload.
• Ability to plan and prioritise work; meet deadlines; work under pressure.
• Experience maintaining office systems and processes is desirable.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and processes.
• Willingness to undertake CPD training to support HR knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent service to Directors, Managers and employees in daily HR operations.
• Advise the business on employee-related matters in line with employment law and company procedures.
• Maintain administration for employee electronic files, recruitment, employee relations and policies.
• Travel to branches as required to support or lead employee meetings.
