We\'re looking for an experienced and confident HR Advisor to join a growing HR consultancy and support a varied portfolio of UK-based clients. This is a broad, hands-on role where no two days are likely to look the same, you\'ll be providing practical HR guidance across a wide range of employee and workplace matters, helping clients navigate situations with confidence while ensuring they remain legally compliant and commercially sensible.
You\'ll work closely with clients, becoming someone they can rely on for clear, considered advice. The role will suit someone who enjoys getting to know businesses, understanding their culture and challenges, and providing advice that works in the real world — rather than simply quoting legislation or giving textbook answers.
You\'ll also have the opportunity to get involved in wider HR projects, including policies, contracts, employee lifecycle processes and organisational change.
This role is really about how you approach HR, as much as the experience you bring.
You\'ll be someone who enjoys being the person others turn to when they have a difficult people issue to solve. You\'ll be comfortable dealing with sensitive and sometimes challenging situations, and able to provide calm, balanced advice even when the answer isn\'t straightforward.
You\'ll have a strong grounding in UK employment law and generalist HR, but you\'ll not be someone who sees HR purely through a legal or policy lens. You\'ll understand that businesses need advice that is legally robust, proportionate and commercially realistic.
You\'ll take the time to understand the situation before jumping to a solution. You\'ll be able to explain potentially complicated HR or employment law issues in straightforward language, giving clients the confidence to make informed decisions.
You\'ll also enjoy working with people. Building trust will be important in this role, and you\'ll naturally take the time to understand your clients, their businesses and the people within them.
