Job summary

Clarke Willmott is seeking an HR Advisor on a 12 month fixed-term contract to join our HR advisory team. You will provide a full generalist HR service to our managers and employees across our 7 offices, advising on performance, absence, ER, resourcing and development.

You will work closely with stakeholders to proactively manage HR issues, support reporting on management information, and contribute to a variety of HR projects while championing our employer brand.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or studied HR/business-focused degree.
  • Some experience in HR Assistant or HR Advisor roles.
  • Legal sector experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full generalist HR service to various departments across 7 offices.
  • Offer commercial, pragmatic advice on performance, absence, employee relations, resourcing, talent management and development.
  • Work closely with HR Operations, Recruitment and internal clients; champion employer brand.
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives throughout the year.
  • Comply with information security policy and firm-wide policies and procedures.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our HR advisory team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

This position is well suited for someone who is looking to gain experience in a wide breadth of work and who is looking for a step up in responsibilities.

Day to day, you will be successful in this role by:

We are looking for individuals to join our progressive and highly regarded Human Resources team as an HR Advisor. You will be providing a high quality, professional advisory and support service to our managers and employees in a variety of areas.

You will provide a full generalist HR service to various departments based within our 7 offices nationally. You will provide commercial, pragmatic advice on performance management, absence management, employee relations, resourcing, talent management and employee development, in line with our values and ethos, ensuring consistency and fairness.

You will work closely with stakeholders to proactively manage any HR issues, and to support our HR Managers in their reporting on management information and trends.

You will take ownership of a range of HR activities, working collaboratively with HR Operations, Recruitment and our internal clients, championing our employer brand at every opportunity and identifying ways to improve and enhance it accordingly.

You’ll also be encouraged to contribute to a variety of exciting HR projects and initiatives that we have coming up throughout the year.

You will be joining an ambitious team who are determined to provide the best possible results for the firm and its people.

All roles within the HR department carry a responsibility for information security and you will need to evidence your understanding of this. You will be required to comply with the information security policy as well as all firm wide policies and procedures.

You will be expected to demonstrate expertise, understanding and compliance with the team’s HR processes and standard operating procedures and take responsibility for ensuring that all other members of the HR team do the same, escalating any issues should they arise.

It is an integral part of this role that you comply with data security and all firm policies and procedures.

Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or have studied an HR or business-focused university degree or equivalent. You will have some experience working in either a HR Assistant or HR advisor role. Legal sector experience would be advantageous.
