HR Advisor – 12-Month FTC with Completion Bonus

Job summary

Adaptable Recruitment is looking for an experienced HR Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Winsford, primarily on-site with one day of remote work. You will provide practical HR guidance, manage employee relations, and ensure compliant HR processes across a large workforce.

The role requires hands-on HR experience, strong knowledge of UK employment law, and the ability to partner with managers to resolve issues efficiently. A completion bonus is available upon FTC completion.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Strong employee relations experience, particularly disciplinaries and grievances.
• Experience supporting absence management and occupational health processes.
• Knowledge of payroll inputs, time and attendance systems, or workforce planning processes.
• Up-to-date understanding of UK employment law.
• Confidence challenging and influencing managers at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.
• Manage employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and conduct issues.
• Lead investigations, hearings and formal meetings, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
• Oversee occupational health referrals and support return-to-work and reasonable adjustment processes.
• Take ownership of time and attendance administration, ensuring accurate records and payroll data.
• Produce HR reports, maintain employee records and prepare HR documentation.
• Support the delivery of HR initiatives, policy implementation and continuous improvement projects.
