Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is hiring an HR Advisor at our Stoke on Trent site. You will partner with the HR Manager and site leadership to deliver a proactive, professional HR service across managers and employees, handling a wide range of HR activities with a practical, business-focused approach.

You will be involved in employee relations, recruitment support, reporting, and project work to continuously improve people processes and wellbeing, while ensuring compliance with UK employment law.

Qualifications

• HR Advisor or generalist HR experience required.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations cases from start to finish.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Confident coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
• CIPD Level 3 (Level 5 encouraged) advantageous.
• Manufacturing or FMCG experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of business and HR strategy across the site.
• Partner with managers to develop leadership capability.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
• Support recruitment activities and workforce planning initiatives.
• Coach and advise managers on performance management, employee engagement, and retention.
• Manage and support employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management.
• Assist with investigations, hearings, Occupational Health referrals, and return-to-work processes.
• Work collaboratively with managers to reduce absence levels and improve employee wellbeing.
• Provide accurate HR reporting and data to support business decision-making.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

The Role

Working closely with the HR Manager and site leadership team, you will provide a proactive, professional, and customer-focused HR service, supporting both managers and employees across a wide range of HR activities.
