Wearebeyondsports in Basingstoke is seeking an HR Advisor to guide managers, resolve employee relations cases, and deliver seamless HR operations.

As a frontline people partner, you will champion culture, support the people strategy, and drive engagement through Workday analytics and policy updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of local labor regulations, policy maintenance and workplace compliance.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end ER casework (disciplinaries, grievances, PIPs, and absence management).

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees across the organisation, providing clear advice on HR topics while reporting to Senior HR Business Partner.
• Coach a manager through a performance improvement plan (PIP).
• Handle employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, or absence management).
• Update HR policies to keep pace with employment legislation.
• Draft offer letters and onboard new hires.
• Analyse turnover trends in Workday.
• Coordinate interactive learning workshops and employee engagement activities.
• Balance day-to-day HR operations with strategic people projects with recruitment and leadership involvement.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees across the organisation, providing clear advice on a wide range of HR topics while reporting directly to the Senior HR Business Partner
• Coach a manager through a performance improvement plan
• Handle an employee relations case (disciplinary, grievance, or absence management)
• Update HR policies to keep pace with changing employment legislation
• Draft offer letters and onboard new hires
• Analyse turnover trends in Workday
• Coordinate interactive learning workshops and employee engagement activities
• Balance day-to-day HR operations with strategic people projects, working closely with recruitment, department managers, and leadership to drive performance and cultivate an inclusive workplace culture

Your Background

You don't need to tick every box, but we're generally looking for:

Core Skills & Expertise

• HR Experience: 2-4 years of generalist HR experience, with hands-on practice managing end-to-end ER casework (disciplinaries, grievances, PIPs, and absence management)
• Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Employment Law: Strong working knowledge of local labor regulations, policy maintenance, and workplace compliance
• Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms, alongside MS Office / Google Workspace

Competent / Working Knowledge

• Supporting annual performance management, bonus cycles, and manager coaching
• Talent acquisition support, including interviewing, offer creation, and onboarding execution
• Identifying training needs and coordinating L&D programs or workshops
• Employee engagement initiatives, survey data analysis, and workplace wellbeing planning
