CHAPMAN TATE ASSOCIATES LIMITED is seeking an HPC Systems Engineer to join a leading solutions provider in the HPC ecosystem. The role combines home-based work with travel to customer sites across the UK, offering exposure to Linux, storage, networking, and cloud technologies.

You will build and support core infrastructure, perform benchmarks, and collaborate with vendors while delivering reliable compute solutions for research councils, universities, and industry clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with HPC compute and storage hardware and software.
• Kernel patching experience.
• Ability to debug Linux logs and determine appropriate response to problems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a high-level expert who can deal with escalated HPC issues.
• Perform benchmarks to select suitable vendors and products.
• Build and support Linux systems to support core infrastructure and a diverse user base.
• Suggest IT solutions to business and management problems.
• Collaborate with compute and storage vendors.
• Scripting and automation based tasks.
