Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in the UK is seeking a Senior HPC Technology Consultant to join our HPC Services team. You will provide system administration support for large-scale HPC environments at a prestigious customer site, ensuring high availability and performance for data-intensive workloads.

You will work in a dedicated team, perform preventative maintenance, handle incident response, and collaborate across EMEA to meet demanding SLAs.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years' experience working with HPC and Linux systems.
• Strong Linux system administration skills and kernel memory management knowledge.
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, maintenance and repairs.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash; familiarity with Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced HPC hardware and software as part of a dedicated team.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to critical incidents.
• Document maintenance activities using case management systems.
• Ensure compliance with customer change management processes and controls.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Follow escalation procedures for high-priority issues.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rota and collaborate across EMEA.
