Job summary

EDF is seeking an Electrical Construction Assembly Lead to drive on-site activities for the Hinkley Point C project in the UK. You will develop execution plans, coordinate with engineering and procurement, and manage subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, cost, and schedule adherence.

The role requires strong planning, monitoring of environmental impacts, and close collaboration with multi-cultural teams across disciplines, with a focus on timely completion of the discipline scope and

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Nuclear industry or power plant site experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of EPC/subcontracting, variations.

Responsibilities

• Create a detailed execution plan and sub schedule to meet the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement for site delivery readiness.
• Manage subcontractors to complete works on time, within budget and quality.
• Define team targets and monitor discipline scope.
• Implement discipline EHS policies and site safety information.
• Investigate variances with Site Contracts Manager to minimize cost impact.
• Ensure electrical quality scope and coordinate with commissioning.
• Clear punch list items and support commissioning team.
• Monitor environmental impacts and report deviations.
• Protect installed materials and maintain clean work areas.

Job description

ROLE

• Creation of a detailed execution plan and sub schedule to ensure all works within the discipline are completed in accordance with the overall schedule;
• Liaise with Engineering and Procurement to ensure availability of deliverable and goods at site required for site erection of the discipline work;
• Management of the subcontractors appointed to install the works within the discipline to ensure that the works are completed on time and within budget and quality;
• Defining the target to the team
• Implementation within the discipline scope of works of Arabelle Solutions EHS policy / site specific EHS plan and for providing subordinates with information about hazards, risks and elimination measures applicable to the site;
• Involvement in investigation and remedial action within the scope of the discipline works of all variance and deviations in coordination with the Site Contracts Manager and other site management to eliminate or minimize the cost impact to Arabelle Solutions
• Ensuring and maintaining the electrical quality scope
• Involvement in the coordination with others outside the scope of the discipline works and transition to commissioning
• Action to ensure all punch list open items are cleared and to support the commissioning team;
• Closely monitor all activities which could have deleterious effects on the environment;
• Develop concise and exhaustive reporting to predict deviation
• Action to ensure all subcontractors erection resources maintain all work areas in safe and clean condition and all installed materials are adequately preserved and protected;

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in construction, industrial, or infrastructure project management.
• Experience in the nuclear industry or experience on a power plant site would be a plus
• Strong understanding of contract management (EPC, subcontracting, variations).
• Proficiency in reporting tools and document management.
• Familiarity with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and quality aspects on industrial sites.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, multi-cultural and international environment
• Rigor and ability to prioritize and adapt to time-constrained environments. Proficiency in planning management.
