Vivid Resourcing Ltd. is seeking a proactive Housing Triage Officer to join our Housing Services team. You will be the first point of contact for customers with housing concerns, assess needs, triage approaches, and provide referrals to specialist teams.

You will offer housing options advice, gather information for prioritisation, and work with partners to achieve positive outcomes for residents while complying with GDPR and council procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, homelessness, or customer service.
• Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent assessment and decision-making abilities for urgent cases.
• Proficient IT skills and experience with housing/case management systems.
• Willingness to work towards a CIH qualification.

Responsabilités

• Be the first point of contact for housing issues via phone, email, online or in person.
• Conduct initial assessments and triage homelessness approaches per policy.
• Advise on housing options, prevention, and temporary accommodation services.
• Gather information to determine priority cases and next steps.
• Refer to specialist housing, homelessness prevention, or support services as needed.
• Maintain accurate case records in housing management systems.
• Liaise with internal teams, partners, landlords and support orgs.
• Support homelessness prevention through early intervention and case management.
• Ensure queries comply with legislation, GDPR, and procedures.
• Contribute to service improvements across housing services.
