Are you passionate about helping people live more independently? Peabody is looking for a caring, proactive, and motivatedPart-Time Support Workerto join our vibrant services inSt Albans. You'll split your time between two supportive housing schemes –Milligan House(mental health support) andRusset Drive(learning disabilities) – both just 10 minutes apart.

About the Services
Milligan House– A dry house for adults recovering from mental health challenges, working closely with local services to build resilience and independence.
Russet Drive– A friendly, supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities who live independently but need a little extra help with life skills.
Both services are calm, community-focused, and designed to empower our residents to move forward.
What you'll be doing
Helping customersdevelop vital life skills– like budgeting, cooking, and managing a tenancy. Providingemotional and practical support– building confidence, celebrating successes, and tackling challenges together. Promotingsocial inclusion– encouraging community participation and running small group activities. Working in partnershipwith local authorities, health teams, and voluntary organisations.
Hours:
20 hours per week (Mon-Fri, between 9 AM – 5 PM —no evenings, no weekends!)
Travel:
You'll need a driving licence and access to a vehicle to travel between schemes.
What we're looking for
A warm,non-judgmental approachand a real passion for empowering others. Experience inhousing-related support(tenancy sustainment, benefits, support plans). StrongIT and admin skillsto keep support plans and records up to date. Aself-starterwho’s confident working both independently and as part of a team. Experience or understanding ofmental health, learning disabilities, orhousing support(professional or personal) is a real plus!
