Job summary

BDS (Northern) Limited in Penryn is seeking an experienced Housing Support Worker to assist vulnerable tenants and support independence. The role covers 22.2 hours per week over 3 days on a rolling rota between 8:30am and 8:30pm, on a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential extension.

You will provide person-centred assistance, build trusted relationships with residents and partner agencies, and help tenants engage in social, educational and employment opportunities while maintaining

Qualifications

• Have an understanding of support needs and support planning.
• Experience of risk assessing and risk management.
• Accurate record keeping and computer skills.
• Confident in lone working and be a good team player.
• Have a flexible working approach to work.
• Experience within a supported housing setting.
• Understanding of tenancy agreements.

BDS Recruitment are looking for an experienced Housing Support Worker to work in Penryn

The hours are 22.2 hours per week over 3 days on a rolling rota between the hours of 8.30am and 8.30pm

Contract: 6 month fixed term contract with potential for extension

The role will include supporting vulnerable tenants who may have a history of mental health issues, substance misuse or homelessness to maintain their tenancies and live independently.

Essential Criteria:

An enhanced DBS will be required and a car driver is required in case of occasional cover to other sites
