Job summary

Osborne Richardson is seeking an experienced Mentor Housing Standards / Renewal Officer in Devon to support the delivery of high-quality investigative and enforcement work within private sector housing.

You will investigate complaints, assess landlord compliance with housing legislation, carry out property inspections and HHSRS assessments, identify hazards and take regulatory action, including HMO licensing, empty homes and disrepair cases.

Qualifications

• HHSRS qualification and experience working in a local authority.
• Ability to manage investigations, inspections and enforcement actions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property inspections and HHSRS assessments.
• Identify hazards and take appropriate regulatory action.
• Enforce housing standards including HMO licensing, empty homes and disrepair cases.
