Job summary

McTaggart Construction is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day delivery on social and affordable housing projects across the West of Scotland. This site-based role focuses on quality, safety, programme and people on site.

You’ll closely coordinate with Contracts Managers, SHEQ teams and subcontractors to ensure work is on time, to standard, and delivered safely. A strong driving record and construction qualifications are required.

Qualifications

Experience managing social or affordable housing projects.
Trade background or a construction qualification (HNC, HND, SVQ or equivalent).
Strong understanding of construction processes and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Take day-to-day responsibility for managing site operations on a housing project.
Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to meet programme and quality requirements.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Work closely with the Commercial team on progress, valuations and cost awareness.
Produce regular site reports and updates on progress against the programme.
Manage labour on site, including daily records and weekly reporting.
Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture with the SHEQ team.
Ensure all works are carried out in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
