Job summary

Langley Trust is seeking an experienced Housing Services Manager to lead a team in our Kent area. This faith-led, values-driven organisation requires a resilient leader with strong communication and relationship-building skills to deliver high-quality day-to-day services to clients managed under MAPPA arrangements.

• Faith-led and values-driven, you are a practising Christian with a strong understanding of Christian doctrine and a commitment to leading teams in line with Langley Trust's mission, values, and culture.
• Qualified and knowledgeable, you hold (or are working towards) Housing or related qualification at QCF Level 5 or above or commitment to work towards this with relevant experience, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice including Homes and Communities Agency, Health & Safety, and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
• An experienced and inspiring leader, you have a proven track record of managing teams, budgets, and complex client groups, with the communication, planning, and relationship-building skills needed to drive positive change and deliver outstanding outcomes.
• The successful candidate will be a practicing Christian who will create an environment where people feel valued, empowered and equipped to do their best work.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, strategic Christian leadership, maintaining a Christ-centred culture that reflects Langley's values, ethos and reputation.
• Lead the staff team to support clients, including clients who are managed under MAPPA arrangements through the development and implementation of tailored individual plans to progress toward independent crime free living.
• Ensure that the Trust buildings you manage are maintained to a safe and habitable standard and that all defects and repairs are reported.
• Lead in the assessment and management of risk including the operation of physical and situational security measures to control the level of risk posed to the public, staff and others in relation to the referral and letting of properties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide visible, strategic Christian leadership, maintaining a Christ-centred culture that reflects Langley's values, ethos and reputation.
• Lead the staff team to support clients, including clients who are managed under MAPPA arrangements through the development and implementation of tailored individual plans to progress toward independent crime free living. Work with, supervise and support clients and monitor the behaviour of clients and to ensure compliance with any statutory order including MAPPA expectations, occupancy agreement or house rules..
• Ensure that the Trust buildings you manage are maintained to a safe and habitable standard and that all defects and repairs are reported.
• Lead in the assessment and management of risk including the operation of physical and situational security measures to control the level of risk posed to the public, staff and others in relation to the referral and letting of properties.

The postholder will always uphold the Trust's Christian ethos and Christ like culture and therefore there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing and professing Christian under the Equality Act 2010. Please note that the successful candidate will need to be happy to adapt to change and flexible in their duties. No one day will be the same so the ability to refocus frequently is important.
