Job summary

Ashfield District Council is recruiting an enthusiastic Electrician to join the Repairs & Maintenance Team. You will perform electrical repairs in tenanted and empty properties within the Operations Directorate.

The role requires City and Guilds or equivalent qualification, a full driving licence, and strong customer-facing skills. Benefits include LGPS, development opportunities, and excellent annual leave.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with City and Guilds or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working in customers' homes.
• Full valid driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical repairs and maintenance in tenanted and vacant properties.
• Assist Repairs & Maintenance Team to deliver safe, compliant electrical works.
• Work within the Operations Directorate and council procedures.
• Ensure safe working practices and customer satisfaction.
