Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to oversee planned maintenance and investment programmes across social housing stock. You will carry out property inspections and supervise contractors on-site to ensure works are delivered safely and to a high standard.

This role includes pre- and post-work inspections, quality control, health and safety on site, and preparing schedules of works and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Experience surveying residential properties and diagnosing building defects.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance, capital works, or asset management.
• Experience managing contractors and construction projects.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre and post-work property inspections.
• Oversee contractors and act as Clerk of Works.
• Monitor quality, compliance, and health & safety on site.
• Prepare schedules of works and technical reports.
• Support planned works programmes including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, fire safety, and energy efficiency projects.
• Build positive relationships with residents and stakeholders.
