Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd are seeking an experienced Housing Options & Move-On Officer to work for a local authority based in Walthamstow.

You will deliver homelessness prevention, housing options, temporary accommodation and PRS move-on services, working with vulnerable residents including those with rough sleeping histories.

The role requires knowledge of Housing Act 1996 (Part VII), ability to assess suitability and negotiate with landlords to secure settled accommodation.

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness and housing options services.
• Experience with rough sleeping and vulnerable residents.
• Understanding Housing Act 1996 (Part VII) and related legislation.
• Ability to assess accommodation suitability and maintain case records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver homelessness prevention and housing options services.
• Provide move-on support and temporary accommodation placement.
• Assess household circumstances, affordability and need for PRS options.
• Negotiate with landlords to secure suitable private rented accommodation.
• Make appropriate referrals to specialist services when needed.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external housing and support teams.
