Job summary

Think Recruitment partners with an award-winning housing association in the West Midlands to recruit a Housing Options Advisor on a temporary, 3-month basis. Hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office; £23 per hour umbrella and weekly pay.

You will be the first point of contact for customers at risk of homelessness, handling enquiries, performing initial assessments under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and supporting the team with casework while visiting communities and properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in Housing Options or homelessness prevention.
• Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Managing housing and homelessness enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Completing initial assessments to determine customer needs.
• Using negotiation and mediation to prevent homelessness.
• Carrying out community and property visits to assess temporary accommodation.
• Supporting the wider team with housing applications and casework.
• Providing high-quality, customer-focused housing advice and support.
