Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer with previous experience in managing ASB cases or housing management and preparing court and legal documents is required to join a housing association based in Staines, Surrey.

Have you worked as a Police Officer or a PCSO / Police Community Support Officer, been involved in investigating complex cases (ideally ABS) or managed ASB cases within the Housing Sector or Local Authority Setting?

SALARY: £34,285 - £36,089 per annum + Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid working partly from the office in Staines, Surrey (TW18) and partly from home

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Please note: Full clean UK driving license and own vehicle is essential for this role

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer with previous experience in managing ASB cases or housing management and preparing court and legal documents.

Working as the Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer, you will manage and take ownership of a caseload of high-level complex ASB cases, ensuring the organisation achieves the highest level of customer satisfaction.

You should have good knowledge of current housing and ASB legislation, preferably gained from working as a Police Officer or a PCSO / Police Community Support Officer or from managing ASB cases within the Housing Sector or Local Authority Setting, and be up to date with case law and able to represent cases in court.

DUTIES

  • Day-to-day case management of all anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases for all tenures across the group, with the ability to read and interpret tenancy agreements and leases to ensure proper handling of ASB according to tenure
  • Draft and serve NSPs as and when required
  • Prepare witness statements for court reliance
  • Work with the in-house legal team and represent the organisation at court hearings
  • Be a trained mediator to assist in mediation cases - undertake the relevant professional qualification (if not already achieved)
  • Attend multi-agency ASB meetings related to case management and community safety
  • Build relationships with external teams
  • Support victims and alleged perpetrators of ASB by providing advice, making referrals, and supporting both sides through the case lifecycle and beyond
  • Provide advice to the wider business on ASB issues

Candidate Requirements

  • Full clean UK driving license and own vehicle
  • Experience managing ASB or housing management in private or public housing sectors
  • Experience drafting court and legal paperwork, and representing cases in court
  • Experience adopting a continuous improvement approach and adapting to change
  • Outstanding communication skills with residents and internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge of current housing and ASB legislation and up-to-date case law
  • Ability to plan and monitor workload and cases
  • Ability to analyze information to draw logical conclusions
  • Willingness to study for or hold CIH Membership or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Math and English (Grades A*- C)
