Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Housing Officer to join their team. The role is based in Camden with a patch in East London, operating on a hybrid pattern Monday to Friday. Salary is £43,777.03 per year, with a 35-hour working week and a focus on customer service and housing management.

You will manage tenancies, support residents, and work with partners to ensure safe, sustainable housing. The role requires empathy, resilience, and the ability to handle demanding situations.

Qualifications

• Understanding barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups.
• Proven track record delivering a high quality customer service function.
• Able to work as part of a caring, empathetic team with a flexible, resilient attitude.
• Ability to remain calm in pressurised environment.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively manage and improve designated social housing neighbourhoods, dealing with tenancy conditions and promoting customer care.
• Maximise income collection and assist with benefit claims and arrears support.
• Represent the group in court for cases in your area and keep stakeholders updated.
• Identify issues for early intervention and liaise with internal/external stakeholders for effective services.
• Maintain budget allocations and ensure financial controls are followed.
• Provide quality assurance for communal areas and escalate service failures.
• Support customer involvement and promote online self-service to improve efficiency.
• Build relationships with customers to understand needs and drive tenancy sustainability.
• Ensure data protection and health and safety requirements are met.
