North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Maintenance Operative to support the Housing Standards Maintenance team in Selby. You will perform decorating and minor repairs in social housing, ensuring right-first-time delivery with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role includes working with a council vehicle and undertaking vehicle safety checks, with opportunities to develop skills through mandatory training and professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in painting and decorating or equivalent.
• Experience decorating and maintenance in domestic settings.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property decoration and general maintenance repairs.
