Job summary

Connection Support in Bedfordshire is recruiting a Case Worker for the Temporary Accommodation Support Service (TASS). You will support households in temporary accommodation, helping them build confidence, independence, and prepare for settled housing, with a focus on Personal Housing Plans and linked services.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting people facing housing challenges, homelessness, or other complex life circumstances.
• Experience of supporting people to access accommodation, develop independent living skills, and successfully move on to settled housing.
• Ability to proactively explore housing options with individuals and families, supporting them to take positive steps towards independence.
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships and support people to achieve greater independence.
• Strong communication and partnership-working skills.
• Experience of maintaining accurate records and support plans.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as the role involves cross-area placements.

Responsibilities

• Support households to sustain temporary accommodation and prepare for move-on into settled housing.
• Help people develop independent living skills, financial resilience, and tenancy readiness.
• Work with Bedford Borough Council to deliver support aligned with Personal Housing Plans.
• Assist individuals and families to access housing, benefits, health, wellbeing, employment, education, and community services.
• Collaborate with housing providers and partner agencies to coordinate support and achieve positive outcomes.
• Provide resettlement support to help households establish and sustain new accommodation after move-on.
