Housing First Project Worker / Floating Support

Location: Southend-on-Sea
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time - Flexible Hours Available

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals on their journey to independence? Do you have experience working with people facing homelessness, complex needs, or substance misuse? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Housing First Project Workers / Floating Support Workers to join our team in Southend. This is a rewarding role that makes a real difference to people's lives every day.

About the Role:

You will provide person-centred, trauma-informed support to individuals in their own homes or temporary accommodation as part of our Housing First model. You will also deliver floating support to people across the community, empowering them to maintain tenancies, improve wellbeing, and build independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 holistic support to individuals with complex needs
  • Help service users sustain their accommodation and reduce the risk of eviction
  • Support with benefits, budgeting, appointments, and accessing local services
  • Develop personalised support plans in collaboration with service users
  • Work in partnership with health, social care, and housing professionals

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, or offending backgrounds
  • A non-judgemental, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential)
