Job summary

The Wallich in Wales is recruiting a Housing First Worker to coordinate a flexible, person-centred outreach service that helps people experiencing homelessness move into stable tenancies.

You will work in the community with an assertive engagement approach, helping clients access housing and support services, while building resilience and independence. Note: hours can be irregular and out-of-hours on-call may occur.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Valid driving licence and own vehicle essential.
• Experience in homelessness or outreach work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide a flexible, person-centred outreach service.
• Engage clients using assertive outreach to enable access to services.
• Support clients to build resilience, confidence and social skills.
• Adapt to variable hours, including out-of-hours on-call when needed.
