Job Description - Housing Concierge (25656)

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: £24,638 per annum [pro rata], plus brilliant benefits, including health cash plan!

About the Role

Join us as a Housing Concierge at The Sycamores, our new extra care service in Woodlesford. This community offers amenities like a café, hair salon, activity rooms, and gardens, supporting over 55s to live independently with close support. You will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the community, especially on weekends.

Typical Responsibilities
  1. Monitoring safety through CCTV and patrols to ensure a secure environment.
  2. Welcoming visitors and ensuring community rules are followed.
  3. Addressing maintenance issues and coordinating with managers and contractors.
  4. Supporting the care team in responding to residents' needs.
  5. Documenting shift activities and incidents for records and handovers.
  6. Fostering a welcoming and positive community atmosphere.
Candidate Requirements
  • A friendly, calm, and practical approach to safety and community wellbeing.
  • Confidence with technology such as CCTV and record logging.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and approachable nature.
  • Experience in housing, support, customer service, or safety-related roles is desirable but not essential.

Team and Reporting

You will report to Emma Carter, Community and Wellbeing Manager, working alongside housing and care teams within our new service.

Job Details
  • Weekend shifts on a rota, including bank holidays, with flexible hours (usually 8am–4pm or 3pm–11pm).
  • Providing 24-hour support to residents.
  • Using technology for CCTV, record updates, and safety checks.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is required, which we will pay for.
