Job summary

Look Ahead is seeking a Housing Advice Worker to support customers in Kent within our Domestic Abuse Social Care Service. You will help clients access sanctuary schemes, manage risks, and set personalised move-on plans to help them stay in their homes.

You will work as part of a team, bring calm resilience, and engage with local communities to promote inclusion. The role offers a fixed-term contract and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in the social care/charity sector.

Responsibilities

• Support customers who accessed Sanctuary Scheme to remain in their properties and manage risks.
• Help customers set personalised Move On goals via a Move On Support Plan.
• Assess and manage risks with a positive risk-taking approach.
• Complete move-on welfare paperwork before move-on dates.
• Engage with customers to encourage involvement in local activities.

Job description

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Housing Advice Worker to join our Domestic Abuse Social Care Service in Kent.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting community customers who have accessed the Sanctuary Scheme to remain in their properties and manage the risks associated with that.
• Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a move on Support Plan.
• Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking.'
• Ensuring customers have full access to any move on welfare support by completing move on paperwork prior to customers move on date.
• Enjoys social interaction and the company of others, joins in local activities to encourage customer involvement.
• Exudes a warm friendly presence and open behaviour.
• Prefers working as part of a group or team.
• Is fundamentally calm and resilient, does not let emotion adversely affect them or obscure their judgement.

£27,976.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week on a 1 year FTC.
