Job summary

LGH Hotels Management Limited is seeking a reliable Housekeeping Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our housekeeping department at the Holiday Inn Cambridge, near central Cambridge. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, comfort and care across guest rooms and public areas.

You will lead and train the housekeeping team, plan daily schedules, inspect areas, manage stock and work with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Has experience in housekeeping and is ready to take on a supervisory or leadership role
• Takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Enjoys supporting and guiding others in a practical, hands‑on environment

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the housekeeping team, ensuring cleaning standards and service levels are consistently met
• Train and guide team members, helping them feel confident, capable and clear in their responsibilities
• Plan daily schedules and allocate tasks effectively, ensuring all areas of the hotel are cleaned efficiently and on time
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements when required
• Liaise closely with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to support smooth operations and guest satisfaction
• Report any maintenance, health or safety concerns promptly and accurately
• Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with health and safety standards and procedures
