Job summary

Glasgow Marriott Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our busy housekeeping team and uphold Marriott standards across bedrooms and public areas. You'll supervise, allocate workloads, coach colleagues and ensure smooth daily operations.

A hands-on leader with previous hotel housekeeping experience and strong communication will thrive in this role, with opportunities to develop within Marriott. 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, with Marriott staff benefits and career development

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience.
• Experience supervising or supporting a team, or a strong desire to take your first step into leadership.
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to organise your own workload and support others.
• A positive and flexible attitude.
• The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervising, supporting and motivating the Housekeeping team.
• Allocating rooms and organising workloads to meet the needs of the day.
• Inspecting bedrooms, corridors and public areas to ensure they meet Marriott standards.
• Checking room status and working with Front Office to resolve discrepancies.
• Reporting and following up maintenance issues with Engineering.
• Supporting the training and development of new and existing team members.
• Coaching the team to deliver great service and maintain high standards.
• Completing daily paperwork, reports and handovers.
• Making sure health, safety and hotel procedures are followed.
• Helping create a positive and supportive working environment within the team.
