Job summary

Compass Group UK at Goodenough College is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and maintain high cleanliness and safety standards across the site.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and excellent English communication. Working 40 hours per week, 5 days with some weekend shifts, the post offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or team leader role.
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment and chemicals.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations across all areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety and presentation standards.
• Allocate daily tasks and schedules to staff and provide support.
• Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job coaching.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, COSHH.
• Maintain attendance, inventory and incident records.
• Liaise with maintenance and front of house to coordinate services.
• Assist with recruitment, inductions and training of new team members.
• Promote a positive working environment and high guest service standards.
