Job summary

Care South is hiring a dedicated Housekeeper at Kenwith Castle, Bideford, North Devon. You will manage daily housekeeping and laundry services, supervise staff, maintain equipment, present rooms to a high standard, and coordinate cleaning schedules.

£13.35 per hour, 32.5 hours per week with alternate weekends. Flexible shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm. No prior care-home experience required; a friendly, reliable team player will thrive in this supportive not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care home is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily delivery of housekeeping and laundry services including supervision of the team.
• Ensure cleaning, laundry and equipment are maintained per instructions and safety guidelines.
• Report and record minor faults and repairs promptly.
• Present rooms for viewing to a high standard.
• Prepare schedules for daily/weekly/monthly tasks and maintenance.
• Order stock of cleaning products and PPE and keep first aid boxes stocked.
