Job summary

Daish’s Holidays is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and uphold high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort. The role involves supporting daily operations, training, and ensuring a welcoming stay for guests across all seasons.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housekeeping, preferably in hospitality.
  • Confident supervising a team.
  • Organised and able to manage workloads effectively.

  • Able to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities of the housekeeping team to deliver high-quality service.
  • Support and supervise staff to maintain standard room cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Carry out quality checks on guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms and address issues.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly through internal procedures.
  • Respond professionally to guest queries related to housekeeping.
  • Organise and maintain stock levels of housekeeping supplies.
  • Monitor stock usage and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Support training and development of new housekeeping staff.
  • Provide guidance and act as a positive role model for the team.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and COSHH procedures are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with Hotel Management and other departments to enhance guest experience.

What will you be doing?

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll play an important role in ensuring our housekeeping team delivers a consistently high standard of cleanliness and service. You'll support the day-to-day running of the department, help develop team members and make sure our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable and welcoming stay.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure a high-quality service is delivered.
  • Supporting and supervising Housekeeping Staff to ensure rooms are cleaned and maintained to the required standard.
  • Carrying out quality checks on guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms and addressing any issues identified.
  • Ensuring maintenance issues are reported promptly and through the correct internal procedures.
  • Responding efficiently and professionally to guest queries and issues relating to housekeeping.
  • Organising and maintaining appropriate stock levels of housekeeping supplies.
  • Monitoring stock usage and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Supporting the training and development of new Housekeeping Staff, ensuring they understand the correct procedures and standards.
  • Providing guidance and support to the housekeeping team and acting as a positive role model.
  • Ensuring company Health & Safety and COSHH procedures are followed at all times.
  • Working closely with the Hotel Management team and other departments to help deliver an excellent guest experience.
  • Completing any reasonable tasks associated with the role as requested by Hotel Management.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with previous housekeeping experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility and help lead a team.

  • Confident supporting and supervising a team.
  • Organised and able to manage workloads effectively.
  • Proud of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

  • Able to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Confident communicating with colleagues, guests and Hotel Management.
  • Proactive, with a keen eye for improving efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Knowledgeable about Health & Safety and COSHH requirements, or willing to develop this knowledge.
  • Reliable, hardworking and committed to doing a great job.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

The role includes weekends and bank holidays, with departure days generally every five days.
