Job summary

The Signet Collection is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join The Retreat, Elcot Park in West Berkshire. You will lead the housekeeping team, coach staff, and ensure rooms and public areas are pristine, welcoming guests with flawless presentation.

You will manage rota expectations, work weekends as required, and build strong relationships with suppliers while maintaining safety and compliance across the operation.

Responsibilities

• Be the housekeeping hero when the Head Housekeeper is away, stepping up to lead, support and inspire the team.
• Help our housekeepers become great at their craft through hands-on coaching, mentoring and a healthy dose of shadowing.
• Get stuck in yourself — keeping a watchful eye on bedrooms, turndowns and the little details that make a guest think, “Ooh, this is lovely.”
• Lead by example and make sure our bedrooms and public spaces are looking their absolute best — beautifully clean, brilliantly presented and ready for our guests.
• Build great relationships with our suppliers, from the people who keep us stocked with pristine linen to those supplying all the lotions, potions and cleaning essentials.
• Keep one eye firmly on the fun and one on the rules, making sure our housekeeping operation is always safe, compliant and doing things properly.
• Be happy working on a rota basis, with some weekend work - whilst maintaining a good work-life balance.

Job description

We are looking for aHousekeeping Supervisor to join our housekeeping team at The Retreat, Elcot Park located in West Berkshire.

Welcome to The Retreat at Elcot Park – a beautifully refurbished country house hotel with 55 stylish rooms, buzzing restaurants, a luxe spa and guests who love great food and great service. We can offer free parking on-site to our teams, as well as a generous Tronc of about £3,000 per year, paid monthly with your normal pay, (if you work full time, pro rata amount for part-time) from your first day at work!

As part of our housekeeping team, our Room Attendants ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are achieved throughout our beautiful bedrooms and public areas giving our guests the best possible experience.

You will:
