Job description

Role: Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: La Fontana Nursing Home, Martock

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 09.00-17.00, includes alternate weekends.

Salary: £12.00 per hour (+ £2 p/h overtime enhancement)

We at Notaro Care Homes are searching for a thorough and organised, natural leader to join our wonderful team at La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, in line with Infection Control and Health and Safety guidelines.

THE ROLE

• Leading by example, oversee the Housekeeping Team; organising staff allocation, new staff inductions and staff supervisions.
• Ensure staff are familiar with relevant legislation and aware of their responsibilities during an outbreak.
• Complete 4 weekly duty rotas for the Housekeeping Team, ensuring the home is adequately staffed.
• Ensure the Housekeeping Team have appropriate cleaning materials.
• Consult with residents on a regular basis to ensure their needs and choices are being met.
• Audit the home, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout and keep records of this.
• General cleaning of designated areas of the home.
• Report repairs as necessary.
