Job summary

Medirest, a specialist healthcare operating company, is recruiting a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee facilities cleaning across healthcare settings. The role is full-time, with a 37.5-hour week and a rotating night shift pattern.

You will lead the cleaning team, train staff, manage stock, and ensure safety and quality standards are met under client SLAs. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, strong people management skills, COSHH knowledge, and good IT literacy to

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within a healthcare or facilities environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including COSHH.
• Proven people management and team development abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, clients and suppliers.
• IT literacy for basic reporting and stock control tasks.

Responsibilities

• Be the regular day-to-day client contact and maintain basic reports.
• Ensure 5-star cleaning standards are delivered daily.
• Manage stock control of linen and consumables.
• Train and develop the team in all tasks.
• Promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with H&S procedures.
• Ensure delivery and quality of operations meet SLAs and KPI targets.
• Recruit, train and develop the team to meet performance targets.
• Manage labour, equipment and resources budgets.
