Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor for Defence operations on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). You will lead a team to maintain high standards of cleaning, train and develop staff, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

The role involves regular client contact, stock control, and achieving service level agreements. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, strong people management and communication skills, and be IT literate.

Responsibilities

• To be the regular day-to-day client contact and maintain basic reports.
• To ensure 5 star cleaning standards are delivered every day.
• To manage stock control of linen and consumables.
• To train and develop the team in all tasks.
• To promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
• To ensure delivery and quality meet the client SLA and KPI targets.
• Recruit, train and develop the team to meet performance targets.
• To manage labour, equipment and resources budget.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a part time basis, contracted to 25 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• To be the regular day-to-day client contact and maintain basic reports
• To ensure 5 start cleaning standards are delivered every day
• To manage stock control of all items within the remit of the role (linen and consumables)
• To train and develop the team in all tasks
• To promote a safety culture and ensure the team are aware of and operate in accordance with company and client Health & Safety procedures at all times
• To ensure the delivery and quality of the operation are in accordance with the client service level agreement and company procedures as well as KPI's
• Recruit, train and develop the team to ensure they have the required skills to do their jobs safely and well whilst ensuring the team is engaged and managed effectively to achieve their performance targets.
• To manage the labour, equipment & resources budget

Our ideal Cleaning Supervisor will:

• Experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including COSHH
• Excellent people management
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in carrying out monitoring of quality standards/audits
• IT literate
• Passion for training and leading a team
• Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements including attending meetings
