Job description

As a Housekeeper Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading, training and supervising housekeepers in the hotel`s effort to deliver outstanding guest service. What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Supervisor atThe Imperial Hotel, you are responsible for ensuring all Housekeeping areas of responsibility are run effectively, communicating with other departments, training housekeepers to meet the standards set by the hotel and manage the stock control of cleaning products. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Be aware of your targets and objectives, understand how these fit within the department targets, and ensure you achieve your targets and objectives.
  • Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms.
  • Manage the stock control of all cleaning products, chemicals and laundry.
  • Monitor lost and found property, stockrooms and trollies ad designated inventories.
  • Assisting with the development of a proactive relationship with Guest Relations and ensuring that all rooms are cleaned in conjunction with guests` check-in/departures.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Maintaining consistently high standards of cleanliness and ensuring staff are all polite, courteous and look after guests needs.
  • Awareness of guest satisfaction scores and the measure put in place to meet department quality targets and objectives.
  • Assist in performance evaluation of housekeeping staff as needed.
  • Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

Understand and comply with company policy on HASAWA, fire precautions, legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.

  • Experience within a Housekeeping Supervisor role
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Proven experience of supervising others
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
  • A neat and tidy appearance (hair and fingernails) and adherence to uniform requirements.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work on your own or in a team

Although previous experience would be beneficial, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
