Job summary

Ivy Gate Lodge Care Home in Southport, Merseyside is seeking a friendly Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment day-to-day.

You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, support laundry tasks, follow infection control procedures and help ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation. Alternate weekends work is required, with DBS, pension and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing.
• Follow infection control, health and safety procedures.
• Work alternate weekends.
